The only difference is Hugh Hefner didn't have to hide he was a sexual predator to be a wholesome figure for the media, they lauded him for it! How many kids in the 90s looked up to Hugh Hefner as this cool old bachelor?

idk I always kind of thought of him as a lecher, even when I was a horny teen looking at Playboy. I agree with you on his portrayal in media but that just added to it for me.
