I would raise that you play Stalker Anomaly specifically. It meshes all 3 game worlds together, adds all new story line and side missions, factions, war, tons of new items, and it's FREE! The entire mod pack contains the entire game repackaged. As for WHY you should play it, it's a survival game based around looting the Zone, an area where weird psychic shit happens and people who wander too close to the center of the Zone (Chernobyl NPP) get their brains literally melted into zombies or turned into a cult that worships the "monolith" a supposed thing that can grant you wishes. Made in late 2000's by a Ukranian studio, I feel like it pays homage to the CNPP disaster with it's own unique twist.
That sounds interesting but i really hate bethesdas fps rpgs if it gives a different experience i might bother trying it out
Totally different, nothing like Bethesda or fallout. My current playthrough I took my Loner from nothing to having a fucking exosuit that runs around with big ass guns.
i mean they are well made open world games but if it's not your thing that's cool
i love the idea of the stalker games and especially anomaly but when i last tried to play something about the head bob gave me crazy motion sickness. also very scary ;_;
there is probably a mod to get rid of the head bob and just use the guns as a pacifier to stop being scared (that's what i do)
I tried them a while back and just kept getting murdered everywhere I went from a distance lol. I tried sneaking around and I'd still end up getting ganked. Sad times. I need to give them a second look.
tips (if you want them)
1 save scum 2 play on novice 3 try multiple strats
Don't play on novice, the disappearing bullets also affects the player so while you do more damage less of your shots hit.
play it in sessions once it's like a book in that it's a bit difficult to start but once you get hooked you get hooked
