That truck is so goddamned ugly. It looks like a freshman game dev assest made in blender.
Not just the form, but it just kind of looks dirty. The material choices are terrible, looks like it is made of scrap.
5 years from now these things are going to look like a cheap stainless steel pot you left in the sink over the weekend.
Tbh the Citroen Karin concept car is better looking than the cybertruck

My anecdotal experience is that Joe Rogan kinda fell out of favor, maybe from taking the grift too far when it came to covid skepticism. I hope I'm right. What are the rest of you hearing on the street?
I'd love to think that's true but if this ratings fell enough (however Spotify calculates ratings) - he'd simple dedicate a show to "explaining" himself. In his non-apology apology shtick he'd say stuff "A lot of people misinterpreted what I said. And I apologize for any confusion. I'm just a guy with a podcast that's trying to understand stuff..." And then he'd spew antivax nonsense and other nonsense and a lot of people defend his "brave" stance.
Their stock has been falling and artists have been dropping so there's a pretty good chance he gets that kind of pressure
Doubt it. He has a crazy amount of listeners. He has more influence than cable news.
joe looks like he aged 30 years in the last 5. stay hydrated, everybody.
Some of the best the human race has to offer, in one photo
:rat-salute:
it looks like a prop car made of spray painted styrofoam what the fuck
What's the marketing angle on the cyber truck? Is the materials + design supposed to be super cheap despite having high durability, or something?
The material are supposed to be recycled material from space x rocket.
Insider info: the project is a development hell, the edges and the choice of material as well as the mass of the vehicle makes it essentially a rolling guillotine, you don’t want to get into collision with one of these. Road safety law would probably force the truck for a redesign and the final product might not ressemble the initial concept
Status symbol, looks different, poggers 80s sci fi, decapitates any poors that get in front of you (makes sure they're dead and can't sure for medical expenses)
:so-true:
So I read the website and the "decapitates any poors that get in front of you" seems scarily true. They advertise that the car is stainless steel and super durable - but fucking crumple zones were invented for a really good reason. If this thing gets into a crash with another car the other car will be fucking toast, and if it hits a wall the driver is gonna get their neck snapped before the airbag deploys.
Crumple zones are mandatory and cars have to pass safety checks. But I don't know more than that.
I certainly hope so, I was just reacting to the marketing material.
If, in the interest of safety, they have to make the truck similarly flimsy to any other vehicle, then they have nothing except the bad aesthetic.
