If you have ublock, which you should, learn how to import filter lists and add the Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool. It strips URLs of common tracking elements.

for people that want to do this and have ublock but are intimidated by the word "learn" (lol): ublock settings > filters panel > custom filters (at the bottom) and then you just paste that second link in as the URL. ez pz
