I still use my Gmail account because I can't be bothered to set up an account somewhere that doesn't suck, but I check my mail through a dedicated mail program, never the site. Google might read all of my mail, but they will not advertise to me.

Every last one of those photos is amazing, really. Photos of war and destruction are moving, but I really like the fishing photo on its own terms as well.

Yeah, I dunno.
Basically, how it works right now, you put the server name at the end of the community. So from a lemmy.ml account, browsing lemmy.ml, you can go to, say, https://lemmy.ml/c/socialism to go to a local community, and https://lemmy.ml/c/communism@lemmygrad.ml to go to a Lemmygrad community. Then you can subscribe, comment, vote, whatever.
