I've never heard one of these folks ever say what they want. Cool everyone woke up now what? I genuinely think 90% of the conspiracy nuts just want to feel smarter than others for once, and feel security in the false notion that they've figured everything out. The other 10% are :frothingfash:

they don't know that themselves because they operate on movie brain and the movies always end when everybody's woken up because that's when the tedious, complicated and potentially subversive stuff would have to happen.

Edit: BTW, libs have the same problem when it comes to "raising awareness." that's a good thing, not denying that, but it's literally just the very first step of activism. after that comes organizing, than action, it's not that hard, but they cannot imagine activism that goes beyond "i want to make people aware that enbies exist" or w/e. Cool, i agree, what's next? and then they just stare at you blankly. or maybe think that then people will :vote: change into existence or smth.

When I was a teenager getting my driver's license, I somehow registered as a Republican at the DMV and I legitimately don't know how it happened.

one time in community college some asshole was going around with a clipboard claiming he was trying to register people to vote, but he heavily pressured everyone to put "republican" under party preference and would get very confrontational if you didn't
