whether you've cut your palm open or broken your leg, you still need to visit a doctor. Your mind is much the same; what might not feel serious still needs to be examined and healed by a trained individual. but I would also say to find a close friend or family member to talk to. Don't treat them like a therapist per say, but if they are willing to listen just letting the words out can definitely help, at least in my experience.
EDIT: It just occurred to me, the therapist is probably benefited from not always dealing with the absolute worst things you could hear about all the time. It's probably nice to get someone just feeling off or having having a simpler emotional imbalance. I don't know if mental health and therapy can ever be "simple" and "straightforward," but if they can be getting some of those cases instead of constant total nightmare must be pleasant.
