Hi Comrades, The Red Review released two back-to-back episodes on the anti-mandate convoy. The first episode (at 80 minutes) is a deconstruction of the anti-mandate movement — its class nature, its leadership, what fuels it, media culpability, eugenicist base, tacit police support, and who ought to confront it.

The second episode (40 minutes) is more informal and features two comrades speaking about what the anti-mandate convoy looked, sounded, and felt like in Vancouver and Toronto. This episode includes audio recordings from demonstrations and counter-demonstrations, covert recordings of conversation with overwhelmed police officers, and unionists talking about the need for mass labour mobilization.

And the NDP Socialist Caucus absolutely opposes John Horgan on numerous fronts, including recording-breaking investments in fossil fuel extraction, continued violation of Indigenous self-determination, and poor pandemic response (virtually indistinguishable from other provinces). At the recent BCNDP convention, the NDP Socialist Caucus and Courage teamed up to call for a leadership review, advance socialist resolutions, and run openly socialist and revolutionary candidates. We know there is no revolutionary future in the NDP but as a mass labour party, we refuse to ignore the opportunity to spread and grow a revolutionary movement in the Canadian state.
