I dunno, I think collecting stuff with actual use value - like action figures or playing cards or even stamps - has some merit, even if you never actually engage with them in that function, just as an appreciation of that use value, like a little museum. The thing about funkopops is that they have no use value. They have the bare minimum of design that makes them visually distinguishable from each other. They are strictly meant to be a commodity and literally nothing else. That's what makes them so odious to me.
