AC5 was terrible, AC4 was good, AC4A was not great (or maybe I have 4 and 4A mixed up?).
Of the old titles, I remember there was one I was particularly excited about, but AC4 (or AC4A) still scratched some of that itch. I really wish they'd released AC4/AC4A on PC, I really can't be bothered to hook up my console (or to buy a TV for that matter).
I played 1, 2, 3, 4, and 4A. I sort of drifted into other things after that and know nothing about 5 except that I missed it and nothing came after.
I will say this: the earlier games' music ranged from forgettable to outright unpleasant. 3 and onward had some great music.
You dont know the true definition of unpleasant in Froms music until you've played evergrace and have to listen to that metaphorical drill in your ear while playing. Its truly the dark souls of music
Having Never once played any of the souls or borne games but having played the shit out of Kings Field 2 when I was a kid (including recently replaying it on emulator)
Playing through Elden Ring really feels like playing a 3rd person Kings Field 5.
The thing i love about soulsborne games is it has so many similarities to kingsfield and shadow tower. The more From games i play the more i like From games as a whole. They all play off on each other in subtle ways that adds to the entertainment for me.
