the way i view a lot of philosophy, politics, is shaped by this "black and white" mindset that's hard to break out of. i have heard that this is a possible symptom of ADHD and i have a hard time with moderation and i don't understand things like how people try to maintain a sense of empathy while setting time aside for things they want to do for only themselves (watching a show, expensive desserts, etc) and i think it's holding back my ability to effectively balance organizing and my own life. once you add anxiety to the equation, this gets real bad with stuff like religion etc. how do people mitigate these things?

this is all good advice, but fundamentally does not help that i cannot help but feel like i am failing when i spend time on useless shit like reading or drawing instead of organizing
