Every time I read about some X million dollar crypto heist it just reminds how utterly made up this. I could make a HexbearCoin and get bamboozled say "I lost 849 billion dollar in a scam." It's so bonkers that these cryptocurrencies have any "value" at all. I know how made up money, but cryptocurrency is even more made up. The idea of wanting to intentionally create scarcity in the infinite digital expanse just makes no damn sense.

all these fookin crypto thefts its like a new era of bank robbing but you have to be an enormous fucking nerd to participate

i mean physically looting cash has a much higher real value at the end of the day but that much funny money probably becomes a pretty penny when you get enough of it

e: to be clear, if you have the knowhow & sense not to get caught you should absolutely steal this shit, lol. bankrobbing was based when it could still be done within reasonable margins of risk/reward

Lets be real: Nothing was stolen because that value was lost the instant they decided to trade in their real money for a position in the pedophile ledger.
