Also the N64 was arguably more capable console than the PS1, the issue it had is that cartridge size limitations meant you couldn't get as many assets on the medium, and had to use more aggressive compression on media files. Also, N64 didn't dominate the market, the PS1 outsold it by over 3 to 1.
