I just got a lame-ass standard American firefighter helmet. Why couldn't I look like a World War 1 soldier?
No that's the cool part about them - the reflectivity of the helmet makes them thermally cooler - Also they've got a fold-down face sheild:

Nah. It's not. This occurred around the time the film was just out. These guys were getting in fist fights with the police, smashing barriers down and were a real important presence in the protests, they are absolutely were not cringe.
