I know Canada isn't hog free (I don't think anywhere in the west is), but to what degree can I let my guard down around other people?

Can't help you with your request, tho, i've never been to Canada and now i don't want to anymore.
The good: the hogs are mostly in their corner and have a lot less political power than down south.
The bad: it's the same thing with the left. Lefty-aligned attitudes are everywhere, frothing through the libness, but in terms of organization or power I think we're a step behind the US in many respects.
