As a trans person I'm starting to constantly debate whether obtaining/carrying a gun is necessary for my safety, or still too risky given my struggles with depression.
Also, for my fellow Timheads and Greggheads, this tweet is such a Jack Decker ass "trying to sound badass" thing to say.

Having a gun increases your risk of death in all cases. It makes every encounter more fatal and you have a higher chance shooting someone you love by accident than using it in defense by a huge margin. Warriors may need to take up arms for the revolution against capital but the meantime people who live are the ones who run.
If anybody is uneasy with owning or using guns, at least consider getting armor, and maybe some mace as well. This is also decent advice if there are substantial legal barriers to arming yourself with a proper gun.
