    Don’t despair, if you’re in the states at least, your blood is also full of PFAS chemicals from Teflon production that won’t break dawn for thousands of years 😜 And surely plenty of other examples!

    If you eat more bugs, that's less room for plastic to get through your stomach lining. The bugs will attract it all like magnets in their exoskeletons.

    Honestly if the microplastics mostly just make us gayer and less fertile I think that's the best we could ask for.

      unfortunately there's been some tentative research that the smallest plastics can cross the blood brain barrier and potentially cause cell death

      so possibly leaded gasoline 2.0, except they'll just stay in the environment even if we stop producing all plastic today
