        It's really hard to build infrastructure without using concrete.

        But they're also pouring that concrete to end homelessness, expand health care, and build out next generation fossil fuel free energy production.

        Meanwhile, Americans are bulldozing another row of mid-rise apartments to create room for a sixteenth lane of automotive traffic.

          Yeah I mean the emissions from the US Military alone could probably lay high speed rail for the whole country lol

        Critical support etc. China's emissions are pretty terrible but they're one of the few places that seem to be taking active mitigation strategies, or at least are actively planning exits from high-carbon bootstrapping.
