Previously I just used the AA app in the car to manage music/navigation/etc. but Google in all their infinite wisdom removed it and replaced it with the much inferior "Google Assistant driving mode" which has a worse UI and

DOESN'T EVEN SUPPORT LANDSCAPE ORIENTATION :guts-rage:

so now whenever I want to change songs or look at directions while driving it feels 10 times more dangerous that it was before

      I think I might just try my hand at making a basic react native app to change tracks and display google maps directions. Anything would be better than Google's bullshit

    Are you using the android auto on your car infotainment or using a holder on your dashboard and looking at the phone?

        It says alternatives starting from 2 to 5. Waze is pretty good I heard for live traffic and pigs.

    Doesn't Waze integrate with Spotify? It's been years since I drove a car lol
