https://againstjapanism.buzzsprout.com/ I found this podcast randomly on spotify earlier today, and it's really good. really digs into the history and contemporary politics of Japan from a Marxist perspective to deconstruct a lot of orientalism and attempts by the Japanese state to obfuscate the leftist past and historical crimes of Japan. the host calls himself a Marxist and an anti imperialist and seems pretty good from the handful of episodes I listened to

Programmed to chill has also some good episodes about Imperial Japan and its usage of spies in Korea and China. I don't know if it quite the same, but maybe also worth checking out.
