    My aunt used to have a pineapple sage bush (it literally smells like pineapple) that attracted tons of butterflies when it bloomed.

      Interesting, yeah I've seen some plants that smell exactly like popcorn. Guess they're not very frost tolerant, they'd have to come inside. Neat shit, though. Love a good pollinator.

      We ended up putting in a pollinator garden a few years back, definitely my favorite area we have. I love seeing the monarch caterpillars.

        I had a professor when I was still in college that was trying to sound the alarm on insect mass extinction over 15 years ago.

          Yeah, it's actually pretty plant pilled. It's not a year round bloom, but we have a very long sustained bloom with native plants. All my solitary bee houses are occupied, too.

          If you get the chance, highly recommend it.
