    Also he's mixing up the Straperlo and the Nombela scandals. Lerroux was not involved in the roulette thing (And the type of roulette wheel was a type of wheel that could be stopped on command, ie a cheating one) his nephew was. CEDA didn't pounce at that point, they were fully willing to back the Radical Republican party even after the roulette wheel, Primo de Rivera fully backed the government and yelled "Long live the Straperlo" in the Parliament to show his support. It heavily damaged people's faith in Lerroux, but it did not bring down his government. That would be the Nombela scandal, which caused CEDA to stop backing a coalition government led by the radical republicans
