        Us supreme court justices are lifetime appointments. She was very old and sick so during Obama's presidency people wanted her to resign so Obama could install someone young and healthy. She refused to resign, allegedly because she wanted Clinton to appoint her successor. Well, Clinton ate shit and Trump became president, and Trump got to appoint her successor. This turned the court majority Christian-Fascist, which made possible this move to revoke the right to abortion. But libs still hold her up as a hero even though she selfishly fucked over millions of people out of pride.

          I really hope that people can come to terms with how monstrous she was for that decision, and she's not still being championed as some kind of girlboss hero decades down the road.

          I'm already seeing tons of "this isn't anyone's fault but the Republicans!" coping on social media. Like yeah, I guess they are technically pulling the trigger, but Ol' Ruthy paid for the bullets and helped them load the gun.

          Legit can't stop thinking about how wild this is. Like if I had the knowledge that comfortably retiring a couple of years early had the chance to prevent an immense amount of suffering for even one or two people, I would call it quits on the spot. She refused to do that and millions of people's lives will be negatively impacted by her choice.
