Don't look at the replies. Everyone crying that poor victim Dave Chappelle can't be criticized. Poor Dave, who was so unhurt by the attack he continued his performance while his security literally snapped the attackers arms backwards (yes, there are videos on twitter of the man).
Like spare me the fucking fake tears. Chappelle being pushed over and being scared for 0.5 seconds before like 10 of his security team brutally maimed the attacker is minuscule to the every day fear, violence, and literal fucking death experienced by trans people because of bigoted rhetoric spread by people like Chappelle. Fuck him and all the fans using this as an excuse to label trans people mad at Chappelle as wrong and violent - when we don't even know why the guy attacked him or who the attacker was.

The fact that like 90% of the replies and quote tweets of this tweet (by a trans person) is just straight up harassment and insults basically just reinforces what the tweet says.
I’ve continually said I don’t think attacking Dave Chappelle was okay.
i do
I feel like if I were to look hard enough, I'd find a "Talk Shit Get Hit" line in one of Chappelle's stand-up routines.
Attacking Dave Chappelle (and not accomplishing anything) is NOT okay.
I certainly wouldn't rule it out. That or maybe the guy was like an obsessed fan.
