    Yes. I'm so tired of contrarian takes just because some annoying people made a fanbase around something great.

      I liked it. There was just a period where it seemed like all media had a b-plot of addressing past trauma, and I think that’s part of where the neigh-sayers were coming from.

        Yeah it was definitely a trope that dealing with trauma or serious issues creeped into a lot of comedies and shows that would otherwise be campy. Which meant writers clearly not equipped to do it well had to, and on a tight deadline. But as far as that trend goes, sad horse show for the most part struck a good balance. It was funny, and dealt with serious themes in a sincere manner without really being cringe. It's really ironic that contrarians made it the poster child for that weird media trend.
