I very much don't want to have to kill animals for food but meat is such an unreplaceable source of easily digestible nutrients. I've been looking at communities like /r/exvegans and /r/stopeatingseedoils and... They're pretty convincing...

And I'm hungry all the time and my poops are never solid and I get tired sooner than I think I should... But I also never get sick...

I'm tempted to just listen to the drugs on this one, like I didn't choose to be a carnivorous monkey. Hmmmm. I've been craving a steak so badly. Ugh. Urgh.

I like tofu and beans and I'm a vegetarian so I'll even eat eggs and cottage cheese. I supplement B12 and vitamin d already, maybe I have low iron but that wouldn't cause the digestive issues. I don't eat seed oils so I've been making all my food at home, it's definitely healthy. I think I just can't handle the amount of fiber or something.

Maybe I should do some experiments with various probiotics before adding meat again...

Mostly I'm looking at all the highly relatable stories on the exvegans subreddit and I'm concerned I'm letting my body decay underneath me.

Approximately how many grams of protein are you getting a day? Are you eating enough solid food or is everything mush? I cook all my food at home but you can still cook unhealthy food, e.g. I deep fry a lot. I personally couldn't get enough protein from just tofu. My normal breakfast and lunches both have a serving of seitan, and I eat a block of tofu for most dinners.

Your problems may stem from things you've added to your diet rather than things you've subtracted. E.g. if you replaced meat with beans but beans are making you shit, the solution is to replace beans but not necessarily to replace beans with meat. If you don't already have one, get a bidet while you're trying to get firmer poops. Ultimately, if you're concerned your body is decaying the way to check is to get tested.

Note that your B12 supplements may not be enough! I've been taking 2500mcg once a week and my blood level is still 333pg/ml which is low. I'm going to increase that to 3x a week or so and retest in a few months. Going vegetarian is already more work than blood tests, so I strongly encourage you to get some "objective" idea of what's going wrong and make other dietary changes 1 at a time if the tests are fine.

And you eat meat right? People here are telling me I need to go to a doctor to figure out why my body can't tolerate this super new and highly processed diet we're all supposed to be eating. I never had weird shits when I ate meat.

You haven't explained, except in the vaguest of terms, what the diet you're actually eating consists of, what your previous diet consisted of, when you switched, or where you're getting (or, as I suspect, not getting) important micronutrients, omega fatty acids, etc.

When did you cease non-dxm drug use, and have you considered not taking dxm in extremely large doses?
