Thumbnails with closeups of their face even though they're not the topic and so on. Plastering themselves in front of whatever the topic is like the topic itself cannot be standalone. IDK if it's a neurodivergent thing, I doubt. It just all feels hypernarcissistic to me. I spend so much time just curating my feed not to have those.
Veritasium does OK science communication videos, but it's really annoying when he constantly cuts back to himself nodding during an interview segment. It's ok, I'll still watch that garbage.
I recently started using this addon which gives you a clip partway through the video so you can see what it's about instead of someone making a dumb face to drum up clicks.
