i rolled the clan and shit pretty blind, no idea what i was doing. gunplay is frustrating and offensive magic that doesn't buff melee is too weak. so far im just blasting thru with a fireax and tryna sneak when i can but both feeding and stealth kills are like 50/50 if they'll actually connect

What the hell is this person talking about? Sex is mentioned frequently in the VTM rulebook. Now, the way vampires fuck is weird and creepy and gross, and they have to expend precious resources in order to do it 'normally,' and also they get more pleasure from sucking people's blood than fucking, but they're still often very sexual creatures.
Now, asexual vampires are more common than asexual humans. And the older the vampire gets, the less likely they are to be interested in sex. Playing a totally asexual vampire is entirely valid. But it is by no means the default, especially not for "young" vampires.

I always had them billed more as seductive than sexual. Using sex like a fisherman uses bait on a hook. But sexuality is a human trait that vampires are parroting, while the real Joy of Sex for a vampire is in sating the cannibalistic cravings of their Beast.
One of the first tropes of the neophyte vampire is the "Feeding is better than sex!" revelation. Meanwhile, the mortal/vampire relationship trajectory inevitably involves the vampire growing increasingly debauched and vulgar in its desires while dragging the mortal along for an ugly ride.
Most players don't want to explore themes of domestic violence, emotional abuse, sadomasochism, and the sexualization of murder. So they keep it horny in order to keep the games light and fun. But crack open any of the supplements on Ghouls, for instance, and you get into some really sick shit. Things that are only "sexual" in a very tangential sense.
Sure, that's what I meant by "the way vampires fuck is weird and creepy and gross." At a fundamental level, vampires in VTM are predators, and that extends to every aspect of their life, including sex.
But that doesn't make them asexual.
