Folks usually have a specific translation in mind they want, or if they want footnotes (a "study bible"), etc. It can be a fairly personal purchase. The idea that she just waltzed into a lefty bookstore to buy one strains credulity.

Most Christian book stores will have the better part of an entire wall covered in various bibles.
