This week I pulled off a 1.5 inch rested 10 shot group at 100 yards with bulk-grade 223, and the next day managed six inch 15 shot groups at 25 yards with multiple pistols. I've never shot this well before. Practice is finally paying off in spades. Like, this was the first time I went shooting and had consistent enough groups at that distance to say "oh this is definitely the pistol's sights being off not me"; and, well, i fixed those sights and it was just total flow state all damn day.
I really hope this is actual repeatable progress and not just one of those days where I couldn't miss
Reminds me of the time my friend and I were shooting our bows at big gulp cups and one of my shots went through the straw.
Hell yes! I miss archery; haven't pulled out my bow in years, but I just got wind of a new place opening up within sane driving distance so I might get to practice that again regularly too!
Used to be able to hit a penny at 50 yards with a .22 but it's been a long time.
With a 2x scope that is of course.
Standing unsupported no sling I am good for 2-4" at 25 yards depending on the day with my 10/22. I haven't put it on a rest or shot it past 25 in ages. Or broken out the drastically more accurate 22 bolt gun. I should do that.
Yeah that's also standing unsupported no sling. Some of the best shots I've ever made.
Was trying to get coworkers to go to a range with me before I got fired for organizing. :sadness:
I have been intending to broach the subject with coworkers, but damned mass shootings keep getting in the way and I can't figure out how to phrase it without making me look like a psycho
Ironically it all started after that grocery store shooting a year or so ago.
We worked at one. Now they all quit in solidarity though so maybe I should try to reconnect and make it happen.
:isaac-pog:
Edit: fired for organizing is distinctly un-poggers.
Edit to the edit: but the actual organizing is :quagsire-pog:
