    A lot of projection going on with the government surveillance concern. More countries should have their own homegrown apps like this if they can and it's ambitious for Laos to try this given its size. Usually small countries like this opt for the regional app if they don't want to use the major ones.

    This is so based. I'm literally always saying to myself that more countries should have their own software for communication and social media and stuff. I'm glad there are countries actually working on this.

    edit: Bet I'm the first Hexbear user to have the app downloaded 😎 (unless we've got some Laotian comrades here). (also I can't actually use it but whatever)
