I wish Americans would realize that people in Central America do not love Trump just because their immigrant chud coworkers do. He’s hated in the northern triangle (Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador) and loved by a minority, many of whom choose to move to the US.
Listened to my sister argue with a Cuban gusano for our entire Uber ride. She just mentioned she loved the country and the guy went off on her saying that Cubans call Americans prisons “paradise” because Cuban prisons are so bad. Also said Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela are the most evil and corrupt countries out there.
She had none of that and so I sat awkwardly in the front seat while they both shouted at each other.

The Northern Triangle has always been very socially conservative. Castro herself isn’t as much but moreso than I think you would find in Costa Rica or even Mexico.
A friendly reminder that Native Americans in the US don’t get tax exemptions unless they live on the reservation and that’s only because they’re considered citizens of the tribal nation they reside in.
Hate hearing people talk about how their nonexistent indigenous ancestor (who was more likely black or mixed) means they can apply and get easy citizenship. Blood quantum’s are some bullshit forced on the tribes by the US and not every tribe does it.
Also people with indigenous ancestry from the Americas like mestizos aren’t Native American based on the US governments legal definition.
Somewhat agree with you on Honduras. There’s some real class consciousness going on there but they’re also reactionary as hell so it can go either way.
