    As far as I'm aware no one knows how consciousness works. If it can pass the Turing Test indefinitely we have to assume that whatever process is happening behind the screen is equivalent to a thinking mind.

      You should read over the provided transcripts. I dont think that bot is passing a Turing test. It's just clearly not how humans communicate, perhaps in a sufficiently formal environment it'll kind of pass. It's clearly reading from relevant training data though (probably research papers or technical message boards), and as a result sounds odd and not how humans communicate conversationally.
