For anyone not familiar with these terms, VoA and Radio Marti are US government (very closely tied to CIA) propaganda outlets, the latter being directed at Cuba. The USIA used to be the official arm of the US government that handles propaganda, until it was transferred over to the BBG/USAGM Broadcasting Board of Governors/US Agency for Global Media.

I was unaware of this connection before, so I thought I'd share it with you all.

EDIT: Would anyone else be interested in a research comm for stuff like this?

I didn't know he tried to be CIA in the 80s. Know where I can find more info on that? I do know that Anderson Cooper interned for the CIA, which is weird.

          Much thanks for the link.

Yep, I definitely knew about that. Isn't it curious how some of these news personalities come from east-coast "old money" and/or have deep state ties?

the people who run the country don't read the news to you on TV. they PAY the people who read the news to you on TV.

if they are being promoted by algorithms and plastered across all TV channels they are 99% CIA adjacent

these people make hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend 40-80 hours a week to literally just do this shit.

Very interesting but not surprising. Everyone in a position of power (media, corporate, nonprofit, whatever) seems to be a second or third generation ghoul with generational wealth. A single comm for collecting and distributing this information would be great though. Useful for pilling any lib that believes in self-made man narratives.

We need a c/trueanon. It's culturally the closest subreddit to r/chapotraphouse to the point that I crosspost between here and there.

I was initially thinking of something like /c/research but /c/trueanon makes way more sense.
