The slam fire shotgun is extremely simple but it uses shotgun shells which are easy to get in America but hard to get in Japan. This guy's gun might have had like homemade explosives manually packed in there. The smoke blast was huge
Yeah, that's probably the motivation. I don't know much about their gun laws but my understanding is that sporting shotguns are allowed so I figured it was at least plausible to get some ammunition. Wouldn't be able to get off two quick shots with a slamtube either.
