I grew up homeschooled by Evangelicals, and I like to vent about Pentecostal mystical shit. Reddit has been a frustrating place to try to do that. I have A Beka Books Science curriculum pics in case that entices anybody.
I'd totally participate in this. I basically grew up in a evangelical cult and became a teen satanist edgelord pretty quick after, though I wasn't homeschooled. Would be fun to chat with others about this stuff though.
I feel like it's a key piece of US political machinery, as probably the single biggest cultural engine for churning out the single-issue voters needed to scare the left into teaming up with Liberal ghouls.
I also think it's something that can be tough to explain to people who've never been enmeshed in it. I know I see a lot of people who grew up with religion as an unobtrusive, cultural backdrop wildly misunderstand Evangelical fervor.
I'd be down to help moderate, but I can't make any time commitments and I'm new AF.
