I work in one of the industries that gets involved in the insider newsletters that all the CEOs read to sniff each others’ farts and I can say this has been going on for years. Everyone wants to know what crypto is and how it applies to their industry. It’s easy content, especially if you’re a tech nerd being paid to present at a conference of bougie finance ghouls.

Would be good to confirm if leadership is sufficiently radical. If not, you can always dual card with the IWW and the wobblies will help fill in the gaps if/when your union sides a little too hard with management.

Either way, it’s a good step. A liberal union is still better for your well-being than no union. And you could always do your best to contribute and get a say to add a more radical voice if need be. Although if this is what you want to do, then I would also suggest reaching out to an external organizer to make sure you’re not going to be stepping on your own toes. You don’t wanna go too mask off and get blacklisted by your rep or something
