      It's all aesthetics. If you ever meet one of these "consooooom" people they're just as consumerist as any other westerner, and it's not just with "practical" things like tools, they also like buying flashy cars (lifted trucks that rarely leave pavement), electronics, clothes, media, etc, even dumb little decorations of chud iconography not unlike funko pops. What they hate is that some aspects of modern pop culture have become too "woke" for their tastes, and get triggered when they see someone buying marvel funko pops or shit like that (which of course are dumb things to buy, but I think anyone on this site would agree that the reason isn't because it's too "soy" or whatever chuds would say).

              I agree with that and also I have crippling social anxiety besides my local food not bombs and local service workers union.
