Back then you had to be some weird terminally online fascist to know who the hell he was. Now many casual 20 something year olds watch his shit or reference his crap because all their streamers and e-celeb personalities collaborate with him deliberately or not. And most of them are peddling the same bullshit “errmm he’s not a Nazi actually. You’re just believing the media!”

I gotta admit, he’s smart for embedding himself into the e-celeb and streamer ecosystem because now more people than ever consume his shit. Very fascinating to watch, if only he wasn’t a pedophile Nazi.

Which brings up the other thing, he’s very likely a pedophile and groomer and so are his friends. There have been many threads years ago when he was still relatively obscure accusing him of grooming young girls, sometimes underage. And now last year or the year before there was an expose piece by some trans editor who worked for him (despite knowing his reputation) getting upset because they were discriminated by his colleagues lol. Allegedly, he has multiple kids with multiple girls nowhere near his age. https://sh1teamcancel.com/2021/10/31/1/

My favorite Sam Hyde story is the time he got owned by a bunch of bronies.

He tried to scam them into giving him a bunch of Kickstarter money for an MLP fangame he had no intention to actually produce, but he did a shit job covering his tracks and was found out almost immediately, resulting in him being publicly outed and never coming close to his fundraising goal. Since Kickstarter goals operate on an all-or-nothing basis, everyone who donated to him automatically got their money back, meaning he completely wasted the time and money he put into setting up the scam.

A lot of it reminds me of the claim that Bored Apes is a big Nazi inside joke that went mainstream. Topics and people from Hyde’s content extend to influencers and streamers as stated before, but also rap music and sometimes boxing. Seems like he’s trying to spread himself around to eventually be consumed and paid by the groups of people he hates. The ultimate joke.

Yeah I was talking to my friend and he brought up Nick Rochefort which is a name I have not heard in years. Supposedly he does something where he talks about real estate or something? And I guess he lives in some bougie refurbished farmhouse out in some upper middle class area of Rhode Island now.

And that really is so on point for their brand of comedy. All their edgy comedy and "conservatism is the new punk" bullshit just leads to - becoming a suburban dad and upholding capitalism while existing as a leech on the workers of the world? But they know internet slang and have a cool aesthetic so when they do it it's "cool" and "edgy," meanwhile when your dad does it it's "cringe."

edit: also regarding the pedophile allegations, Charls Carrol also married some Kuwaiti woman who is 14 years his junior. I think she was 23, and he was 38 at the time.

Yeah I wrote that out before I knew the ages, just the age gap. Then I found the ages but left that in. Whatever, knowing Charls it sounds like a pretty fucked situation

Considering Hyde and some of his producers are pedophiles, I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest are too.

I agree. Some of the people he fell off with seem to be confident that his personality will result in him doing it himself. One could hope, but I think it would be funnier if someone else did it. He doesn’t deserve an easy out

The writer of that exposé is clearly a fascist herself if she was hanging out with these MDE people all the way until she came out as trans and it started personally affecting her.

Yeah the intro is funny. She “knew” Hyde was “controversial” but “didn’t know” the extent of it. The equivalent of applying to Lockheed despite its “controversies” but not knowing the extent of it.

Yes, but she’s one of the good ones! She’s the unique, special savage that’s not like us other savages cos she’s just cool and quirky like that and not at all cringe cos she can take a joke.

Yeah, he was living in the margins post-MDE cancellation where he was quite comfortable producing content for avid fans who donated to him via some Patreon alternative while he went ignored by the rest of the world.

That was until he made a comeback with that celebrity boxing match or whatever. Ffs.

The only information I have about Sam Hyde is from when Idubbz attempted to interview him and he just gaslit him the entire time.

Man, I wish duels were still a thing. I’d much rather have them shoot each other dead than endure an eight-plus hour podcast of them talking.

It wasn't a podcast, it was more of a "glimpse into the life of Hyde" similar to how his interview with airsoft fatty went, except significantly more toxic.

His behavior in that + the worst person I know asking if I knew about him confirmed to me that Sam was a real piece of shit lol. Didn't know the other stuff.

The mainstream isn’t just twitter lol. Like I said, his group is involved with influencers and musicians, both underground and mainstream.

@RyanGosling@hexbear.net So is Meshuggah, are they mainstream? Lol. That's what I was implying. When we take the demographics within Twitch, Twitter, Youtube, and other highly curated social media at face value, I think it has a demoralizing effect. The people you see fighting their battles within it are also cut off from communists in low income countries for the same internet demographic + social reasons.
