from a wall of karmic rewards/punishments, on a buddhist temple right next to ho chi minhs mausoleum in hanoi
:gamer-gulag:
lol and yeah thats actually far from the worst of them, theres a bunch of really awful ableist ones of like "pay no attention to others difficulties when being told of / become a deaf person" etc and others where your punishment is becoming poor/homeless etc with the implication that the less fortunate did something to deserve it
but the g*mer one was too funny not to post
Protestant Work Ethic and Calvinism have non-white counterparts, it seems. :doomer:
tag yourself, I'm the non-filial son embracing a pharmaceutical pilll larger than his own torso
the text for that one is "make others feel worried or unhappy / get headache, sleeplessness, mental illness" :yea:
edit: theres another one for lacking filial piety where the punishment is becoming an orphan in the next life so its good to know all those orphans totally had it coming
Bit of a Protestant-ass interpretation of Karma. You could totally use it to make a Buddhist prosperity gospel.
i mean there were some good ones like "the employers dont care the employees / running out of blessing soon and being poor again" and umm lets say well-intentioned-but-yikes like "getting workers standing all day / be paralyzed legs"
but on the other hand "triple your productivity / great blessing for you and glories for your country" :doomer:
Techbros already conjured up "dark Buddhism" to somehow take the entire ideology of detachment and make it about :stonks-up:
