I think I always used robo in my party along with frog because he's so cool and cute.
I always wondered if they had him design the characters first or if they showed him the sprites and had him make art from it
Pretty sure the former. That's usually how the process goes in game dev, an artist draws up the concept artwork as a frame of reference for the people doing the character models.
