Just imagine if Xi Jiping came out tomorrow and said in English “my advisors told of this website called Hexbear, they said that it was the bulwark of socialism in the west, I fired this advisor and they were sent to a reeducation camp. I have spent party resources researching this Hexbear and came to the conclusion that it is reactionary website filled with radical liberals that has bad takes on literally everything. We will be extending the great firewall to block not just Hexbear, but all Lemmy extensions, we cannot taint our brand of Marxism with this adventurist bourgeoisie filth! This E-communism is heretical and everyone who practiced it must be branded with a hot iron on the face so no one can ever take them seriously again, their fingers must be cut off so they can no longer type, their eyes must be glued shut so they cannot read theory to misinterpret it. Not just the Hexbearers, but the Breadtubers, and the Dirtbag Leftists, and the Star Trekkers too! DRIVE OUT THE REVISIONISTS WHO POST BAD TAKES ONLINE!” -Liu Cixin
Honestly, critique from Xi Jinping himself would probably revolutionize our brand of leftist thought from here to Lemmygrad. From where I sit, "critique" is for those you care about, while denigration and disfellowship is for those unworthy of your respect; so if he was critiquing us rather than outright "ion't know those fellas", I'd take that as surprisingly lofty praise even for the critique itself.
Hoping that Xi Jinping posts a scathing takedown of Hexbear and being honoured by it for selfcrit reasons
