And like gusanos, they always seem to self-sabotage midway through arguments by revealing some laughable detail about their life that they could've easily kept to themselves. Young converts admit to never getting laid at the same rate that gusanos reveal their grandparents' incomes.
To top it all off, both groups make that mistake specifically because they don't realize how embarrassing their lives are from an outside perspective. A gusano is proud that their grandpa owned 7 refineries before the Revolution, in the same way a tradcath thinks their own virginity is an achievement. So from inside their bubble of ego, they try to brag about it - they think they're doing it to intimidate you, but really they subconsciously want to impress you. But surprise surprise, no one else finds that shit impressive.
