I work with the cops here sometimes and I like showing them pictures of how much better cops do their job in other places. Like, most places in asia they just use something like dog catching sticks the poud has and everyone is just fine. Imagine the 3k tazer that doesn't work half the time replaced with a fancy pool skimmer.

Sucks to suck pigs.

I wanna say Shanghai but It looks like it is from a demo supply expo. I don't think the swords are in use. I think some departments do issue those sheilds but they are not the standard use one. I know shenzen at least experemented with long batons like that but I think the sword model they went with was a lot simpler. Dunno if those are still in use today but they would be way more useful than the batons our cops get. Short batons are only capable of hitting people harder but that isn't actually useful. A long baton like thst could be used to safely controll space with much less violence.

i just wanted to confirm they weren't singaporean theres no visible stars or anything lol so i was curious

on batons i think dog catching sticks are also the ideal, do your thwacking and subduing from spear-length, and they're perfect for human fence sort of deals

Invoking the spirit of Alice I have determined they look nothing like singapore cops uniforms. Not having proper badges supports my idea that this are display models.

With the dog catching sticks you don't even thwack people. You just scoop them. It is the ideal tool. There are cool videos of like japanese school teachers just safely taking down people with knives.
