It's disturbing because as third spaces are closing, we're losing any place where you can really exist without being under surveillance/the threat of death.
It's funny too because I was also thinking about Midgar from the original Final Fantasy 7. The train checkpoints and the ability the elites have to remove personhood from entire communities.
