The new “progressives” see everything as a game of virtue, so all those suburbanites in an economic downward spiral can go to hell if they don’t donate to NPR and read White Fragility or whatever.

i feel like this describes Liberals better. i think the thing that differentiates liberals from progressives is that progressives care about economic issues....
