We had clap for carers/NHS(healthcare) workers in the UK. Each Thursday at 8pm. Pots and pans were also employed.
A nice idea initially to give some emotional support to those on the 'frontline', that ultimately did f-all to help anyone when they really needed government support (which they didn't get) and essentially turned into little more than vitrue signaling. Happy days.
