I still cannot figure this out. I've done it. It sucked ass to be in the states but it was shockingly easy for a Canadian to move to the US long term. Way harder the other direction.
The only thing I can think of is that they secretly or subconsciously know that the US is a fucking shit hole specifically because of everything they want, but they're too trapped in ideology to recognise that consciously?
