I read a good bit a while ago. It wasn't too much effort, the book I read was a lot of speeches and stuff like that. It was like reading Xi's books, not like a really dense theoretical text. It was all pretty standard ML stuff. If you are familiar with standard ML theory and Chinese history I don't think there is really going to be any surprises. He certainly was never like "we must take the capitalist road" or anything like that.
