a friend read a bit of this and this is what he said:

ok so Harry gets thrown in the gulag in Siberia
where people eat each other for food
he has to fight and kill an old man for the privilege to fit on the steam train that goes to the mines every day
because that's the only way to earn better food i think
he finds a gold nugget which gets taken by another prisoner and this causes a ruckus
somehow he escapes in the mess
but he gets a bayonet wound
so he walks bleeding for hours in the snow
and before he almost collapses he is found by a pack of arctic wolves
who want to eat him
so he fights and kills the alpha wolf with his bare hands, which scares the other wolves off
he then butchers the wolf with his bare hands, eats the meat raw and sleeps in the skin of the wolf
also he's 5 when this happens
